Donhou Babypacker
We call this the 'Babypacker'... It was a firm favourite at the recent Bespoked show in London, melting many a parents heart and with several children needing to be pulled away crying!
If you follow Donhou you may have seen a badass custom raw steel balance bike featured on our social feed from time to time. We all love patined steel and it was for sure the coolest bike at nursery, but it was starting to get a little pitted, so was time for some paint. This coincided nicely with Tom's (Donhou) daughters interest in going on her first camping trip. There was no better time to add a few mounts and have some custom bags made up by Donhou Stores neighbour Ena Custom.
Lets face it, it's the bags that make this bike, but underneath there are a couple of neat design features, including the inverted headset. Watching kids ride these things, when they crashed, they tended to mostly have slow speed crashes and land on top of the stem with their chest, that hurts! By inverting the headset we could move the mounting bolts out of the way and take away the edge from the back of the stem, making slams a little less painful.

But anyway, back to the important bit. The bags! We decided they were such a cool little thing, adding a whole other level of fun and engagement for any wayfaring little toddler or child, we decided to offer these in our shop. We have a mini bar bag system, feed bag and fork bag.
These are full technical bags, hand made to order in small numbers. These are not toy bags. The bags feature magnetic catches, roll tops and are made from sturdy Cordura Truelock and Challenge Ecopak EPX 200. Ecopak is one of the most environmentally friendly pack materials in the world, with the woven fabric produced from 100% recycled polyester, which is also recyclable after use (of course, if you can find a processor). The fork bags feature reflective strips and the bags are fully lined for waterproofness. Even a 4 year old should be prepared for all eventualities!
Head to the shop to view the bags.
